How to Get to Henley

The Royal Canadian Henley Regatta is hosted on the body of water known as Martindale Pond. The pond was once part of the First and Second Welland Canals and old canal locks can be seen at two locations on the Pond. Henley Island, the centre of regatta operations, is located at the 1200 metre mark on the regatta course. Access to Henley Island is via Henley Island Drive. The Grandstand overlooks the Finish Line in what is known as Old Port Dalhousie, a community now part of St. Catharines. The Grandstand entrance is on Main Street.

Eastbound

Eastbound traffic should take exit 51 off the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) at Seventh Street and follow it to it's end at Lakeshore Road and turn right (East). Follow Lakeshore Road (it changes it's name to Main Street) for 2.75 kilometres (1.5 miles) and turn right on to Henley Island Drive. The Grandstand is a further 1.1 kilometres (0.7 miles) along Main Street on the right hand side.

Westbound

Westbound traffic should take exit 48 from the QEW to Martindale Road. Turn left unto Martindale Road (north) and follow it until it ends at Main Street. Turn right (east) unto Main Street and follow it for 0.7 kilometres (0.4 miles) and turn right unto Henley Island Drive. The Grandstand is a further 1.1 kilometres (0.7 miles) along Main Street on the right hand side.
